Today, the Mackenzie Inn provides elegant overnight accommodation and specializes in full service weddings for Toronto and the GTA. Each weekend we host only one wedding and offer our couples "Exclusive Use" of the entire estate.
Have a beautiful wedding ceremony in our post and beam chapel, or under an outdoor cathedral of towering Norway Spruce trees planted over a century ago by Lady Mackenzie. *The only "chapel of trees" in Ontario.

Sitting 75 minutes north east of Toronto & the GTA, in the village of Kirkfield, this grand estate was the home of Sir William Mackenzie, best known as co-founder of the Canadian Northern (National) Railway. Our Country Inn is situated on 13 acres of woods and gardens, the Inn has been designated an historical site by Parks Cana da.
This historic property has had a colourful history, including nearly 50 years as a convent and school after Sir William's death in 1923. Originally built in 1888, Sir William and Lady Mackenzie entertained many notable figures, including Prime Ministers and European aristocrats. There are a number of ghosts rumoured to have passed through the halls of this grand manor.
